New Dock Levelers
Often our clients require better and safer loading and unloading of their products. The solution is often to install heavy duty dock levelers which bridge from the warehouse floor to the back of the transport truck.
This is a big job that we do on a regular basis. The project starts with marking and cutting the floor out and breaking out the wall which as you can see in these photo’s is often reinforced concrete. Once this is done we excavate the area, form the pits for new walls and floor and place the metal curb angles. When this is done the concrete truck arrives and we pour concrete, wait for it to cure and then remove the forms. Next comes the dock levelers which are welded to the new curb angles and tested. If hydraulic they need to be wired in by an electrician. Next come the dock bumpers and dock seals to keep the snow and rain out. At this point the trucks can come and go all day long and the tow motors are able to drive in and out of the trucks in a very safe, secure process. If you have any questions about dock levelers or dock equipment please feel free to contact us.
